December 12th, 2005MINUTES AND PROCEEDINGS OF INCOMMITTEE MEETING OF LETTERKENNY TOWN COUNCIL HELD IN THE TOWN COUNCIL OFFICES ON MONDAY 12TH DECEMBER, 2005 AT 6.00 PM

LETTERKENNY MART
Mr. P. Mc Mullin, County Solicitor outlined to the Members the current position in relation to Letterkenny Mart Site and that the matter was before the Court tomorrow, Tuesday 13th December, 2005. A lengthy discussion followed and on the proposal of Cllr. J. Harte seconded by Cllr. G. Mc Monagle it was agreed that Mr. P. Mc Mullin, Council Solicitor seek a court adjournment and that the opinion of Senior Council be sought on this matter.
CIVIC RECEPTION
On the proposal of Cllr. V. Fisher seconded by Cllr. C. Brogan it was agreed that this Council holds a Civic Reception for Andy Boyle for the amount of work that he has done for the Youths of Letterkenny.
DONEGAL YOUTH SERVICE
The Town Mayor, Cllr. D. Blake welcomed a deputation from Donegal Youth Service consisting of Mike Walsh and Neil Sheridan. Mike Walsh briefed the Members on the work on the Donegal Youth Service and their current need for accommodation given the unfortunate incident with the Murrac A Boo Building. A brief discussion followed with the Members congratulating the deputation for their great work for the youth and it was agreed that the matter would be discussed at a future meeting of the Council.
MUNICIPAL POLICY COMMITTEE
It was agreed to adjourn this item to a future meeting of the Council.
This concluded the business of the meeting.
